Holistic Coaching to help you find joy in your work

A bit about coaching

What is coaching?

The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as ‘partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential’. A coach is a person with strong listening and questioning skills who uses them to partner with their clients to work towards agreed-upon goals and ambitions in their lives. Coaching can be used to work towards goals in all aspects of life, including dating, work, and parenting.

What’s my approach to coaching?

I support values-led managers and leaders in transitioning from feelings of overwhelm, stress, and demotivation to achieving harmony between their personal and professional priorities and ultimately discovering joy in all aspects of life. My mission is to help people find joy in their work and use it to achieve their life goals, dreams, and ambitions. I work with my clients to help them discover their core values and beliefs and identify how to live these out through their work and wider lives.

In my coaching practice, I focus on three words: joy, alignment and purpose. When you find joy and alignment with your values and purpose in your work, you will find greater peace and be able to offer your gifts and talents to the world. I am deeply committed to creating a world where people can live out their full potential and strive to fulfil goals that matter to them. This requires me to be compassionate, bring my passion to embed equity and inclusion in all I do, and support the people I work with in thinking about things from different perspectives.

How will we work together?

Our first point of contact will be a free chemistry meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for us to get to know each other and explore whether we can work well together to support your goals. Following this meeting, if we both decide to work together, we’ll agree on how long we’ll work together and sort out the logistics for our time working together. During each session, we’ll agree on a contract, i.e. a topic that you would like to focus the discussion on and explore in the session.

FAQs

Where will sessions take place?

Coaching sessions will take primarily place online via Zoom, Google Meet or Teams. If you would like to have a face to face session, I ask you to find a private space that is within 30 minutes by public transport from Victoria or East Croydon in London.

Who did you do your training with?

I trained with Coaching Development LTD over five months in 2023. It was a life-change experience that helped me to deepen my coaching skills, learn more about myself including who I am as a coach and connect with a great group of peers and tutors.

What will we focus on during the coaching session?

The coaching session will be focused on a particular issue or goal that you would like to work on. It’s up to you to decide what this is. I can help you refine the topic through discussion during our coaching session. Some people find that having a more clearly defined issue or goal is what leads to moving forward!

Who are you interested in coaching?

My coach training helped me to realise that I can coach people from a wide variety of backgrounds and life experiences.

Sometimes, people prefer to be coached by someone from a similar background to them. If that’s the case for you, you may want to work with me as you see some similarities:

  • I’m a purpose-driven leader seeking to create social impact

  • I’m a Black woman who has navigated middle and senior management

  • I have worked in consulting, charities and public sector organisations, with significant experience in healthcare

  • I’m an experienced project and programme management professional

  • I’m an introvert who has learned to use this to my benefit in work
